About Our Club

Our Club

Kanata Innovation Toastmasters is an active and successful club in District 61 of Toastmasters International. District 61 is the home of over 147 clubs and almost 3,000 members in Eastern Ontario, Quebec and northern New York State.

Our club is well-known for its friendly and positive atmosphere; it’s a great place to network and make new friends.

Nevertheless, we encourage potential new members to not only visit our club, but others as well, to see which club best meets their personal needs.

You are most welcome to start visiting our meetings as a guest of the club. This works even better if you let us know ahead of time when you’ll be joining us, so we can arrange the seating order and make any other necessary preparations (name tags etc.)

Our goal and mission at Kanata Innovation Toastmasters is to help our members evolve and to improve their skills at whatever pace that they are comfortable with.

We achieve this by having a consistent, structured meeting style, which allows our members to not only present speeches, but also to undertake various other roles during the meeting.

The Executive Team

The Toastmaster Executive Team consists not only of business people but of Toastmaster members and volunteers. The individuals are asked, first, if they are interested in volunteering for a position and second, if they can commit to the position for a one year term. The term goes from July 1st to June 30th.

Toastmasters International provides guidelines and duties for each position, but each club can operate differently depending on skill-sets and available allocation of time.

Kanata Innovation Toastmasters meet every Monday from 7:00PM to 9:00PM
